Since our inception, out of our deep commitment to personalized education, we have chosen to keep our student body between 20-35 students. This has allowed us to create a very special type of graduate education.
Our faculty meet with students twice a month in one-on-one sessions. Faculty are selected for their academic and professional experience, their commitment to WISR values, and their passion for working with students individually. Faculty are skilled at helping students integrate their personal interests in their field of study.
Further, a WISR education uses a "mastery learning approach." Students complete a course after they demonstrate mastery of the material. This requires that faculty work closely with students to ensure they master the learning of each course.
A Values-Inspired Education
For each of us here at WISR, the values found in our mission form a backdrop and context for our lives. When we're at our best, our teaching and living therefore, is an organic expression of our values. We choose WISR because of our personal commitment to social justice, well-being, community involvement and the vision of a world of inclusion. Find your tribe.
