Complaints to WISR’s Accrediting Agency

WISR encourages students to make every reasonable effort to resolve concerns or complaints through WISR’s internal grievance procedures before seeking resolution through external agencies.

Students or members of the public who believe that WISR is not in compliance with the standards or policies of its accrediting agency may submit a complaint to the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). DEAC’s complaint process is designed to address alleged non-compliance with accreditation standards and does not serve as a substitute for WISR’s internal grievance or academic review processes.

DEAC expects complainants to exhaust all institutional grievance procedures prior to submitting a complaint to the Commission.

DEAC provides an Online Complaint System that enables individuals to file a complaint directly through the DEAC website. Written complaints submitted to DEAC must generally include the complainant’s contact information, a description of the alleged non-compliance, relevant dates and parties involved, supporting documentation, and a release permitting DEAC to forward the complaint to the institution for response.
